Geir Olav Opheim

Geir Olav has a comprehensive background as both a top executive and a consultant. His background comprises positions as CEO, managing director, divisional director and purchasing director in large and medium-sized retail- and consumer goods enterprises, such as Nortura, Coop, Røra Fabrikker and AKA (Norgesgruppen). Prior to starting Ontogeny, Geir Olav held the position as Managing Partner in Varde Hartmark,and has also worked as senioradvisor at BearingPoint. His strong flare for business and his analytical skills make him especially well suited as a leader, a consultant and as a sparring partner for leaders in demanding situations.

 

Through the years Geir Olav has worked closely with top management and their advisors. He has extensive experience from complex operational improvement programs, restructurings, strategic assessments andstrategy processes, procurement process improvements and organizational development. He has a deep insight into large, complex and logistic heavy corporations, and has broad experiences from both the private and public sector, as well as the interface between them.

 

Geir Olav holds a master of science in agricultural economics from NMBU, and a master in management within market communications, marketing andstrategy from BI Norwegian Business School. He also holds a Lean Six Sigma certificate.
